If there is, I can't find it. Just another shortcoming of a website that could be awesome. I've reported all scammers and I don't know what that does at all. Their ads are still up and I can see no evidence of any warnings to potential buyers at all. Ok, if TGT expects all buyers to exercise their own due diligence before they buy - great - but then why have a means to report scammers if nothing happens when that's done?Is there feedback on texasguntrader?
Is that true about FFL when dealing with in state shipping in Texas? Is it a requirement or a convenience?I have sold four pistols, an M-1 carbine, 28 gauge shotgun hulls, and some 10 gauge shotgun shells on gunbroker in the last few months. All buyers sent money to me and I stayed in constant communication with them until they received their purchases. FEEDBACK is the key first step in deciding to do business. Of course, when using shipping, you must involve active FFL licensees which is a risk reducer as well. I like FTF dealings and have done a bunch of them, but of course your buying pool is really small when you restrict yourself to that mode only.
You can send long guns to one another intrastate but you must ship pistols to an FFL.Is that true about FFL when dealing with in state shipping in Texas? Is it a requirement or a convenience?
Well it's not Ebay. There's no way to leave feedback. It is totally buyer beware. After awhile, you will get to meet and know some pretty nice folks to trade back and forth with. I have made quite a few friendships from that site. Just do your research re: pricing or trade value if you see something you want before reaching out. Use the "search" function to see what others are selling the same gun for, use the IP address locator to check if their location is local (that's the red circle with cross hairs) and only meet face to face to complete the transaction. Never, Never, Never send anyone $$. If you do, you can kiss it goodbye. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Go by your gut....if someone doesn't commit to meeting in a public place that's convenient for both and gives excuses....cancel the conversation. You gotta be smart about it.Well halleluya, with the help of a friend in Fort Worth, I finally completed the successful purchase of a pistol on texasguntrader. Really ended up liking the young man that sold the pistol. After he marked to gun "sold" on the site, I went there to complete a positive feedback for him. The ad was gone - lock stock and barrel! He couldn't find anywhere to give me positive feedback either. They sure don't make it easy for buyers or sellers!
I'm old. I now wish I had never sold a gun.
No I dont list that but I am not meeting anyone unless they are alone. I dont care if their wife or whatever is in the car waiting for them but I am not interacting with more than one person. Too much can go wrong and its harder to keep eyes on two people. I am close to the city and there really is no telling who is going to be meeting you for the transaction.Do you normally specify that the buyer/seller must be alone?

Ive sold countless guns and ammo on that website and have never had an issue but I keep the process the same everytime and it hasnt failed me yet. I meet at the same places generally that I am very familiar with, during the day only and I am armed (given). I dont ever deal with anyone with ethnic names, broken english, poor grammar in text messages etc. Idc if thats racist. Statistics dont lie and I am not interested in becoming one.
No if they show up and two people hop out of the car, I leave. So, at some point you mention that they must come alone?
