Wouldn’t a back ground check show the felony? I see adverts online all the time for those services. Or, would LE be able to run the DL for a history? I don’t know which is why I’m asking..
Running a DL only shows convictions related to driving and any TCIC/NCIC warrants, he would need a CCH which shows all charges and final dispositions for the charge. It's not something you can just "get".

Were you an adult or a juvenile? Pony up some cash and get lawyer to atleast figure out what you are dealing with. This isn't something to guess at or cross your fingers with, do it right.

This morning I was reading the news and stumbled on this article:

And considering the pandemic (could get crazy riots perhaps) I was thinking of purchasing my first gun but, If I may ask this question here in the intro section) back in high school I did an evading arrest (about 20 years ago) which was considered a felony. I've never gotten in to any trouble ever since... I am actually a very nice reserved guy. To give a little details regarding the run, it was because I had gotten in to a fight with my girlfriend that day. While goind home the officer pulled me over because I ran a stop sing which I know I did not... so like and idiot (I was already fuming) I ran... that's all.

I will appreciate any info thanks.
Speaking as a gun owner and 2nd amendment advocate, I think we would all be better off if idiots and felons didn't own guns.

So you were arrested, What were you convicted of, and what was the maximum penalty you could have received?
I did three months and then probation. The case is closed.... I was just wondering if the record stays for life regarding not being able to own a gun... That is my only case and I am almost half age expectancy.

A conviction for an offense eligible for punishment to include confinement for more than a year prevents you from owning a firearm for life.

Your only option is to have the conviction completely expunged so you can legally say it didn't happen.

The critical factor is how long could you have sentenced. hence why I asked what the maximum penalty was.

Once you become a prohibited person, yes that is for life unless you get it expunged or pardoned.
