As much as I like what DeSantis is doing I am hesitant to support a politician. Can anyone give a bit of background on him?

I had heard of him, but really didn't know much about him so I looked him up and read about him.

If all this is true, he looks promising as a candidate for president.

Democrats and the press despise him. That's a pretty good qualification right there. I'd like to see Tim Scott run, though.

What I'd like to see from Trump is him getting involved in 2022. People are getting fed up with wokeness, as seen in England where there was an overwhelming conservative push to fill seats. I would very much love to see the same here in 2022. That could shape the outcome of who would be best suited to run in 2024.

You can be assured that DJT will be DEEPLY involved in the 2022 campaign, as he will need control of the HoR & Senate when he is reelected in 2024..

    SATX,

Why is it so important to you that Trump run again?

    Younggun,

SIMPLE. I believe that DJT is the ONE person who can WIN in 2024 & who can both HUMILIATE the LYING mass media skunks, DAMAGE the DIMocRATS Party & permanently damage "the swamp", that is DC.
(By 2028 IF we conservatives "do our job", the DIMocRATS will be so DESPISED by the average voter that they "couldn't win dogcatcher" any place but the BLUEST of BLUE areas.)

    just my OPINION, satx

I don’t think your assumptions are correct.

Especially the assumption that he is the only one that could win. If you believe that, then you must also believe their is far more support for what the Dems are currently doing than I do.

Pence was all the talk a few weeks ago. He was going to unite both factions (Trump's millions and McConnell, Graham and Cheney) of the Republican Party. Rubio talked about running within the last half of April and the only Bushes not around are buried in College Station.

None will be relevant in 2024. They may run, but will not make the general election.

DeSantis will be the front runner and win the primary.

Trump won’t run again. He’ll talk a lot, and the Q crowd will still claim grand schemes about how he’ll somehow be crowned king of all of North America. But he’ll mostly just pop up every now and then giving the talking heads of the MSM something to scream about. If he does run, it will be a mistake. Maybe he’ll start a PAC or something. Probably far more likely than him entering another race.

My magic 8 ball said so.

Trump was what we needed in 2016. He was not the best candidate by a long shot, just the best option available at the time. Trump did some great things for four years, and gave people a taste of what could be done and how to get it done. But to believe he's the only person that can accomplish great things for our country, is delusional and naive.

Trump winning in 2016 was an anomaly. He was never suppose to win that election. I strongly suspect that election was rigged for Hillary to win, but they miscalculated what was needed for a win, because Trump got more support and votes than they though was possible. I also strongly suspect, that they threw caution out the window in 2020. Biden was going to win, no matter what. Even if Biden had stroked out, was brain dead, (in the medical sense of the word!) and on life support, he was still going to win that election. They also didn't care about appearances of fraud, or tampering, because they knew that they had those bases covered as well.

Jump forward to 2024. More than likely, Biden won't be around, even if he's still alive, but Harris will be, and just to be clear, the same puppet strings attached to Biden, are clearly attached to Harris as well. And unless the DC swamp is cleaned up, Harris has very good shot of getting re-elected in 2024. Trump talked about cleaning up the DC swamp, and that was IMO one of his biggest failures. He should have started right in the White House, and worked down. There were way too many people with their own agenda's and way too many looking to take Trump down. He also should have started clearing out much of the Obama hold-overs from the start. There was way too many of them in key leadership positions, that used their power against Trump.

Unless the swamps are cleaned up, regardless of who runs is going to be irrelevant. Jesus Christ himself couldn't win in 2024 if the same political environment exists come 2024. The swamps need to be cleaned at the state and federal levels.
