I drove 5 hours from Shreveport today and I like to take the back highways. Can't tell you how many people going 10 to 15 under in areas where there is no where to pass. The fucktardedness between Henderson and Palestine is amazing.

On the flip side, our Texas back roads are in better shape than the interstate in Louisiana. I20 is a ball joint killer. A good suspension shop could make a killing in that area.

Either way, I love America. I'm never going back. Only to visit for important things. I love my relatively big house. A house that would cost 3x as much in the communist. They should have classes on how to text and drive.
They should shoot those who text and drive.
If you've got a phone in one hand and a steering wheel in the other, **** you!
Any human life is more important than your "conversation".

Well, being a transplant from California, the speed limit is actually a suggested minimum. Nobody goes the speed limit. If someone does, they usually go to the most right lane. Going 10+ limit is the norm.

Going 10+ over the posted speed limit is still breaking the law no matter the state. If you're in that much of a hurry, leave earlier. And yes, bringing the attitude "this is how we do it in California" is an annoying practice in Texas.

I'm just wondering if all these offensive commentors are actually the people who are going slower than the speed limit in the speed lane. I see it all the time.
I don't mean to be offensive to anyone. It's what I observe. It's like me seeing people driving off the freeway onto the frontage roads when traffic backs up and somebody complains that you need to have an SUV or truck to be able to do that.

The sooner you understand that we don't GAF what you "observe", the happier your life will be. THIS is now your reality - deal with it and stop whining about it. Or freakin' LEAVE.

When we travel between Dallas and anywhere east of Terrell, we always jump off the interstate and take the old Hwy 80 and go thru all the old towns the interstate bypassed. At one time there were still a few old motels that had signs saying "Refrigerated Air". The drive takes a little longer but sure is more peaceful with the tall pines and no traffic and a DQ along the way to boot.

When is some transplant going to complain about those people who drive on the shoulder so you can pass on the 2 lanes. LOL! California sure can screw up people's brain housing group. There ought to be a test to get to move to Texas.

Feel more than free to carry your happy ass back to California and give those classes.

What we don't need or want, is some California transplant coming here and lecturing us about how you did things there.

You probably believe in the 2nd Amendment, but there should be exceptions, right?
