    Devil?

Low life drug addled criminal, but sure let's elevate him to sainthood.

While we're at it let's pick another...charlie manson anyone?

Perhaps, ted bundy or jeffrey dahmer.

    Poor selection of criminals?

    OK

You pick one we can elevate...

What I am saying, this actually would be a good pardon. Even if for the wrong reasons.
You are correct sir. At first I thought this was BS but when you have an allegedly bad cop falsifying material and making bad arrests than possibly every arrest he made should be thrown out. Floyd was a drug addict and criminal but the cop appears to be the bigger criminal.
As far as the DA, elected position. No good, dump her at the ballot box. Chances in Houston, slim to none.

I'm ok with him being pardoned in Texas as long as his toxicology tests in Minnesota are public record.
His record here in Texas is what truly shows the kind of person he was though. The toxicology report does not show his disregard for human life. They are wanting to get rid of this because they don’t want future generations to know how terrible of a person he was.

The arrest was one made by Gerald Goines. Yeah, THAT Gerald Goines.

If every conviction made on an arrest by that crooked, murderous cocksucker got overturned I would not even be irritated.
What a small world. I had to Google that crooked feller but I remember the news around his no knock murder of that guy and girl.

When I made my first reply to @Hoji, I hadn't read his previous post about Gerald Goines. I too did a Google search of gaining some perspective into what Hoji was talking about and I have to agree with his statements he made on this thread.

And yes, it makes his arrest of Floyd suspicious without a doubt. One can conclude if Goines had a tendency for lying or deception to gain search warrants, and practices of arrests that were not totally legal because of those search warrants, it puts into question every arrest he ever made in question as to whether they were justified and legal.

While I agree with Hoji, I still think it's theatrics for them to pardon Floyd. Even discounting and dismissing the arrest by Goines, he still had a record of criminal activity and drug use. To make Floyd out to be some sort of martyr, or hero, is just wrong.
