Missing from those is the "board of education", which we called a "spat board" for the sound it made when it caught your butt. In junior high, I caught one many times, usually wielded by coach, or vice principle who made the rounds through the halls each class period for application to any who had been sent there by their teachers. I also learned the quality of mercy, when my history teacher once called me back into class with the VP only two doors away...

The ones I caught never seemed to be quite that wide or short, were perforated to reduce air resistance and maximize speed, and could lay a good welt...

And don't forget, Properly applied every hole left a blister.
