    Just a friendly notice.
This thread, along with the others in our new sub forum (permitless carry) will be moderated more heavily than what most of us are used to.
Tomorrow, God willing, our governor will sign into law, a bill that legalizes the personal carry of a handgun.
Once that occurs, the focus in this area of TGT will be on educating ourselves and any non member who comes across it, with the clearest and truest interpretations that we can possibly present. Off topic "discussions" and posts will be removed.
I'll be as fair as I can.

If I have something today, and I do not have it tomorrow, I lost it. Whether it is a right, privilege, freedom or whatever, does not change that.

I was unaware of the other thread about how this may make it hard to carry a long gun concealed, and in that regards, I fully agree with you.

Perhaps he is keeping a promise to Gun Control Groups that he would not sign the bill into law.
Much more likely that he is waiting while a signing ceremony is arranged for it and other pro-2A laws. When he signed Open Carry into law he did so at a gun store in Austin, with the authors/sponsors of the bill and other supporters , and the press, in attendance.
