To be honest, I am surprised at the reaction of locals to a shooting in Washington, DC. At this point you would think they were used to it...

A woman attending the game but outside the stadium was hit when occupants in two vehicles began exchanging gunfire.

Note in the video there are still guys hustling caps on the sidewalk after the shooting!

I lived in Southeast DC (across the Anacostia from this park) for six years. My only surprise is that is taken this long to happen at the field. It is funny that during an ammunition shortage the criminals do not seem to have a problem getting ammo - kind of as is someone where providing them with enough to maintain (if not increase) their levels of mayhem.

…did anyone inside the stadium get hit?

    No

“The game between the San Diego Padres and the Washington Nationals was suspended in the sixth inning Saturday night after a shooting outside Nationals Park that caused echoes of gunfire inside the stadium and prompted fans to scramble for safety in the dugout.”

Correct, the DC Chief of Police specifically noted during a press conference that at no time was anyone in Nationals Park ever in danger!

Apparently people at baseball games in DC just like to panic.

The irony is shootings in DC are an every day occurrence!
