    Well duh.

The Speaker (Pelosi) says arrest their asses if they don’t wear a mask, and the US constitution Article 1, Section 6 says:

“… They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.”

Lose, lose. What a terrible place to work!

After two weeks of dealing with protests in Houston, I can certainly see how some officers could be overwhelmed by the after effects. You just have to really be in one and understand the chaos of the situation to fully grasp it.

Not being facetious here but what do you mean by after effects?

usually some ptsd symptoms. Just like any traumatic event different people process the same event different ways. Some guys drink, some guys work out or go fishing, some eat their pistol. Once you go hands on in an intense protest its hand to hand combat at that point. In full riot gear mobility and vision are somewhat limited and it creates a very surreal environment to fight in.

Seeing so many people, who despise you and the what you protect, saying all manner of hateful, vile things takes a toll on us. Most of us hide it pretty well. We get good at hiding our real emotions from the public and coworkers and even ourselves. We pay a price every time we drag a body from a car, interview a sexual assault victim, interview the rapist, or get told by hundreds of people that they hope we die "like those cops in dallas"...

I think many people tend to forget there is a person behind the badge and gun. That they are prone to the same emotions and faults as any other person.

Many times the spotlight gets focused on LE when they make mistakes, or the bad ones that truly phuck up, and probably shouldn't be in LE in the first place as career.

@cycleguy2300 and @andre3k, let me say this. Thank you guys for the job you do.

I frequent a few restaurants that cops hang out for lunch. I always go over and thank them for their service and many times tell the servers to give me their checks. The servers tell me later they are always very appreciative. I ask how the cops are doing morale wise since they know them and they say morale is very, very low. Recruiting new ones sucks and old ones retiring, who wants to be a cop....
