It's my understanding that solvent traps are not illegal unless they can prove intent that they will be used as suppressors, in which case you can file paperwork to make them legal suppressors.

So, what's up with the new "definition" mentioned in the letter? Y'all notice that?

I don't seem to recall that additional bit in the previous technical [legal] description...

ETA: Looks like that language has been there for a while...Apparently, I need more sleep...
"Without manual reloading..." ....sounds like pretty much every firearm excluding muskets.

One day warrants may not be required.
    We’re already past that:

TXAZ, a long time fed contractor @ FBI & other 3-letter agencies was told the following:
Quote (FBI person in a position to know):
“We don’t need a warrant if we’re not going to court.”

And from an FBI’er who briefed congress: “Congress will believe whatever we tell them.”

    You do the math.

I commonly refer to them as the SS FBI and the KGB DOJ. The CIA gets to be the CCP CIA but the BATF and DEA are so unimportant they don't even rate a special name. I expect a visit any day. LOL!
Considering the BATFE's current myopic focus, their initialism could easily be reduced to BF..., short for Butt F***kers...

Suppose, just spitballing here, not really planning anything, that I really wanted to trap some solvent.
Maybe the solvents were tearing up my yard and trying to mate with my dog. could I still buy a trap for that? Legally?
Just asking for a person I don't know yet.

I'm not sure I could have kept my cool. What the heck is so evil and vile about a solvent trap anyway? I have to admit that I had to look them up. Never even heard the term before, much less saw one. If it don't have a hole drilled in the end, what's wrong with it?

The definition of a machine gun, or silencer, includes any combination of parts from which they can be assembled.
