Alliance Air Show FT Worth tomorrow

So I'm finally gonna get to see the Blue Angels tomorrow
is anyone from TGT going ?

Also gonna have a C-17 there, wonder if they will have the Afgan skydiving team?

I'm probably skipping this one for stuff I have to get done, but I'm set to be at the classics show the following weekend - Wings Over Dallas which will focus more on WWII aircraft.

You've never seen the Angels perform? You're in for a treat - at least as long as they stick to their typical routine. I've loved watching them since I was a kid. Are they still flying the F18?

You should bring him to Wings Over Dallas. My dad took me to an airshow the year I was born - in San Marcos. Can't remember when I didn't like airplanes... but I bet it started there.

And if its owned by the Collings Foundation..their safety record ain't the best..they have crashed and killed some people and wrecked some nice war birds..I wouldn't fly with them for free.

I used to live in Haslet. The planes would fly over the house while practicing for most of the week before. Never had to go to Alliance.

It's not. It's a Condf- wait, Commemorative Air Force bird. It's now based out of Dallas Executive!

I can't imagine there's a factory cranking out spare parts in the volumes they were back in the 40's and 50's. My dad was a jet engine mechanic for the USAF, the stringent regulations surrounding aircraft parts, maintenance no doubt adds up fast when you're dealing with antique planes.

I wonder how guys afford to keep the old de Havilland Beaver in the air sometimes, since they stopped making those in the 60's or early 70's. They're still the most popular float plane in Canada and Alaska, but the market has to be pretty small none the less.
