Just got to Lampasas a few minutes ago and it's been raining pretty good up this way. Cold temperatures with cold rain is my least favorite weather.

Plus my one year old Dan Post work boots started getting moisture in inside. I bought them because of the steel toe and waterproof but they're not waterproof anymore. I hate damp cold feet!

Dang the luck, I have a similar pair of Dan Post work boots and after 5+ years they are still water resistant. I used them as duty/station boots at the FD.

I am with you when it comes to cold damp/or wet feet. No fun!!

They must have been better quality back then because the sole is nearly worn slick after a year. In the whole year I only wore them every other day so it's probably a half year of real use.

Kinda disappointed that they didn't last but were great until the waterproof quit working.

I wore mine for 12 hour shifts during the weekend days I was on a shift for several years plus calls and training during the week. Between grass fires, MVA’s, medical calls, running the truck and all the different kinds of terrain and muck they held up well. While not in the fire service anymore they still get use when I take the Harley out.

    Demolition Derby indeed.

I already told Vaquero this but I got off at the Buckees in denton and see a dim white light and wonder what it is.

I caught up to it and the poor car hit every corner and had the rear bumper cover hainging, front one dragging under the car and no head lights or tail lights, all smashed in what I assume was a hydroplaning accident. Only the license plate light was still working.

There were half a dozen other wrecks on both sides of 35 too.

    What a mess
