Fresh from the store is so much better. Although the premade ready to go has been a thing even in store forever.

It was just a few years ago I found out about the chow-chow. To me the ones from their shops taste like they did when I first got one. The only difference is that they are not as large.

I remember going into the original location on Taft & getting a Piggy, stuffed grape leaves, Tabouli, stuffed jalapeños & chips back in the early mid 80's. They were never cheap but were very high quality products made fresh! When they started distributing them to chain stores they sucked!
