    Hey y'all,

Any recommendation for a Ruger mini 14 scope mount? I've seen a few online, but nothing just screams quality yet. Thanks!

I put an Amega Mini Scout on my 185 series. It was the only thing that seemed solid. That or the Ultimak rail. What model/series do you have?

I put one of these on my old mini. When I tightened the screw down it broke the plate it mounts to and the mount fell off. I wouldn't recommend one.

OP, does your mini have spots machined in the top of the receiver to mount rings directly to the receiver? Mine had that from the factory and I was able to mount Ruger rings directly to it without any rail needed. Worked great for years.

Don't recall which brand I used, but it is the same general type has worked just fine for years.

Maybe mine was a cheap knockoff. Sold the rifle off about 10 years ago now so I don't remember what I paid or what brand it was.

That could be anything. You can try measuring hole spacing and go from there but it might be a long shot.

I seem to recall that many are made in China and I found one made in the USA.

I can't remember who made it, but the one I had for my M1 carbine used the rear site dovetail with a set screw. Worked well.
