    Did you cut your hair?????

Sent by an idjit coffeeholic from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
No, no, it’s still the same. When it’s styled curly, sometimes it shrinks up and some strands seem shorter. And some strands ARE shorter than others (because as some hair sheds out, then new hairs have to grow and start over).

In that photo, the longest strands are swept to the back.

In the pictures from this weekend (the Christmas ones) I have my hair in a side braid.

Thanks. Yeah there are definitely some shorter curly strands mixed in.

Thanks for asking. The husband got a call that he’s going to be sent a job offer for the school district doing building maintenance. It’s been roughwith him being employed after 1.25 years unemployment with a COVID layoff (that was due to Abbott stopping elective medical procedures for a bit in summer 2020).

I mean I do pull the bigger paycheck so with unemployment benefits for a while, we survived, but still …we don’t want me to be the sole provider, that’s too much pressure.

It will be our last day at Faire today as the season closes. It’s something we like doing together, mostly…as long as we don’t get too tipsy on into the evening and start bickering, which IS more likely under stress.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned the fire at a food place in the Italian Village last week. A transformer blew & caught fire near a propane tank that blew up.

The whole place is a fire trap! They had a fire last year too I had heard. Once you cross the creek into Sherwood sales plummet. They even get to shut down earlier as it becomes dead early evening. I hope no one on Matt's crew got hurt.

Tell him good luck on the job for me. Hope the boys are doing well too.
Hope to see you on here more often as well.

Cushy job, like working for the city or county. Good pay, good benefits. Don't let anyone know you are a conservative. Keep his politics to himself.

Yep. He worked for the state before and so he knows the drill. Really hope we ge confirmation soon.

At TRF today, we saw the “Washing Well Wenches” show. They used to be at the Faire years ago but then they took a hiatus. Now they came back last year. Boy, they are a cute show.

There was a young lady burned very badly inside her tent in a fire this season. She was in one of the shows at the Barbarian Inn and she’s going to have a rough recovery, I hear. Really sad.

Another blast from the past. IIRC they worked the Taverna Di Vino next to the Falconers Stage, now the Barbarian Inn.

The year the bow was added to the deck of the stage at the Sea Devil the Barbarian Bombshells use to show up and get on stage. The took upon the bow and gyrated to the pride of Bedlam.

They had a tendency of putting one foot up on the bow tail. My office was front & center for it. The bar backs and fry cook use to join me in watching.

Eventually word got back to the guy they worked for at the Barbarian Inn, and he made them stop doing the pub sing. It was far more entertaining to me then Pride of Bedlam.

How was the traffic, is it straightened out? Last time I went was years ago, traffic was horrible. We found a backwoods route to get there. Getting out was terrible, handicap parking and wife wanted to stay till closing, sat for hours trying to get out. I think it was Thanksgiving weekend, the perfect storm!

Personally, I want to see more photos. I've never been, but may do next year!!!

Drinking. Swords. Scantily clad wenches in push-up garments. Sloshing around in the mud. What's not to like?
I have gone to the TRF at least over a dozen times since the late 1970's. You need to go at least once. My wife had never been until I took her for her first time some years ago. She had a blast and enjoyed it that we have been several times since.

We had planned on going last year, but decided not to because of all the Covid "pandemic" crap. Hopefully we plan to attend next year though.

If you have any questions, @baboon is the man to ask.

So. There is a new, highway 249, that you can get on 4 miles north of the festival. it’s awesome.

It’s a tollway, but we are fine with it. We take that to beltway 8, then the Hardy tollway, then make our way back to 59 and then 288 gets us home south of Houston. It goes fast.

Not really shit changes on a yearly basis. I know a lot of the people there, I know a lot of the past. I really am out of touch with anything new since I went on disability that was seasons ago.

I do know if I had young kids I wouldn't let them work it. Wife had a couple very pretty young cousins that wanted jobs that I wouldn't put to work. I do know if I was 16 years old I'd be all up in that shit! Lots of shit happens in that camp ground no one makes public. I was working when that sailor got stabbed to death in the parking lot. I'll bet few remember that.
