Is permit-less carry past an 05 sign still a class C misdemeanor fine of $200 like licensed carry past an 06 sign?
Sorry for asking a stupid question, I just never read up on the 05 laws since they do not apply to me. Maybe I should since they would apply to my wife.

Legal or not, the way I look at it is if someone is concealed carrying correctly the signs don’t matter, at the end of the day I think you’d rather use it when needed and deal with the legal side rather than be dead or have others dead.

30.05 is needlessly complex since it covers a whole lot of different trespasses. Generally, it’s a Class B misdemeanor except if the trespasser is carrying a deadly weapon, then it becomes a Class A misdemeanor.

First of all, welcome to TGT. Stop over in the Intro Section and say hello to everyone.

Second, in a perfect world, you might be correct.

But there is that fellow Mr. Murphy that likes to stick his nose in and just see how bad he can screw up your day and your life.

I have been trying to speak with the owners of businesses which sprout any kind of anti 2A signage.

In a number of instances, the owners didn't even realize that an employee had placed or authorized them. Few knew what the specific signs meant or what they really did.

Despite that, many refuse to take them down. But others do.

We should approach this problem as an opportunity to educate others.

Our enemies are going around and telling managers that the signs promote "safety".

As they say, “Better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6”.

It amazes me that some people will patronize a business that posts signs prohibiting the carrying of firearms in their establishments.

And then try and claim some moral higher ground because you carried within their business concealed.

What amazes me is how continually condescending you are towards others for the decisions they make. Simply put, it's not your business.

I have not seen any hint of claiming a moral higher ground, but rather law abiding people exercising their right to protect themselves.

Not when you are trespassing, which when you carry past a sign that prohibits the carrying of firearms.

But where you try and stand on moral higher ground is bragging about it on a forum. As if you have put one over someone. Wow.

    But you do you.
