As if every non conservative would not be concerned with defending their own life? You guys kill me sometimes...

It just was a joke dude. See the smiley face?

If you REALLY want to defend your own life you need to vote for people who allow you to do that...so you're not stuck trying to defend yourself with a sock and a battery.

By all means correct me if I am wrong, but the majority of the last changes that came in air travel came under a conservative legislation. The TSA has been jacked up for a lot longer than since 2008. Just sayin.

I know you were joking, I've just never seen a group of guys that is quicker to sling some comments towards one group of individuals, well maybe I have, but that meeting was full of other dudes wearing the same white clothes as me...HAR HAR..totally joking...

I think you meant to say "came under a Republican legislature." Republican doesn't always mean conservative (see GWB). BTW, I'm not conservative. I'm libertarian. I would do away with TSA completely. Also, thanks for stereotyping me.

I'm telling you guys, the best way is to avoid the airlines and go private. I regularly carry my Kel-Tec AND an XD on board. On long cross country flights, I'll probably have a rifle, too!
Oh, and plus one on flying with a large Texan belt buckle - and a decent pair of boots. For that matter, steel toe boots could deliver quite a punch.

I would pack a compact heavy object that looks inconspicous and a pair of tube socks. I would imagine that a padlock or something could screw up a terrorist bastard pretty good.

A tactical belt with a heavy buckle.

An iphone in a tube sock.

If you want a tactical pen try this Uzi. I have a few of them. No one ever gives it a second look. The crowned tip is for "taking a DNA Sample" if attacked. It is as sturdy as any hand held device could be.

The price is right. I have seen a lot of them that cost $80.00...

I'd say the odds of TSA finding a tactical pen to be 1 in 500, given the vast number of pens that go through. Stick the tac-pen in among a dozen other various pens, it'll make it.

The main flaw of TSA as it currently exists is the total ease by which anyone can walk through the magnetometer with a ceramic or glass-fibre "CIA knife."

If it isn't metallic, it'll go right through. But it might easily be detected by the backscatter "virtual strip search" machines that are seeing more use.

I'm going to open a website selling tactical batteries so people who improvise with them in a sock will be able to take out terrorists in style.

    I'll offer D batteries in:
    - Tactical Olive Drab
    - SF Digitized Camo
    - Tactical Dark Earth
    - Covert Black
    - Tactical Pink Digitized Camo (for the ladies)

All I need is a trip to the dollar store for some cheapo batteries, a little spray paint.......maybe pick up some "tactical socks" to sell it all as a "deep concealment anti-terrorist system."

Titanium knives will also go right through.

"Tactical pen"....that's funny. I guess add the word "tactical" to any product and you can fetch 10x more money for it....lol

Indeed! I have a tactical pink pet eraser pack to go along with that tactical pen that I'd like to sell to anyone on this forum.

These tactical erasers work in pairs; one to spot, and one that "gets the job done."
