Think that Cancer is something that the AMA plagues the citizenry of this Country with....for profit...

Because fucked up shit happens.
And yes, if you think there is a for profit motive to give people cancer I think you’ve lost your mind. And I’m not talking about ignoring or downplaying risks to avoid profit loss as a goal post move for your argument. I’m talking about intentionally giving cancer to profit from the treatment. Saying what I think about that would violate forum rules.

Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli's decision to raise the price of Daraprim, a drug used to treat toxoplasmosis in cancer and AIDS patients, by more than 5,000% per pill has made him a target of global outrage. Hundreds of stories have been written about Shkreli, his name trended on...splinternews.com

Chronic diseases are big business. While I have no doubt many (most? some? vast majority?) in the medical and pharma businesses have only their patients best interests in mind, there's no money in healthy people (well, if you can convince them that they need to take prozac/statin/baby aspirin/etc...)
Because fucked up shit happens.
