If I controlled immigration quotas, every Cuban or Venezuelan who wanted into the U.S. would have the red carpet rolled out for them. They could teach lots of people to be more appreciative of what they've got.
I watch a YouTube channel that follows a recent Cuban immigrant. It would bring tears to your eyes to see how transcendent an experience it is for him to, for example, eat at Red Lobster. Why? Because eating lobster is illegal in Cuba. Just seeing him go into a grocery store and be overcome with emotion when he sees a place where they actually have food on the shelves is enough to get you right in the feels.
