    Among other things, had to quit eating grains about 3 years ago.
    Since then I have had one bowl of gumbo and rice at each Christmas.

    Took over for Mom cooking the family holiday gumbo and dirty rice about 20 years before that.
    Like a perpetual Lent penance ... a cruelty that no one from S Louisiana should ever have to bear. :(

    Made it home from the Chevy dealership. Been there since 7:00 this morning.

    $635.00 later I have new front breaks and rotors.

    Its great to be able to stop without crossing my fingers and saying a prayer.
    I upgraded all four of my brakes to high performance carbon/ceramic brake pads and rotors for less than $400. Of course, I changed them myself. Couldn't believe the difference, nice!
