    In the woods...
Visiting the g/f in Baytown. Sitting outside this evening having an adult beverage. Just about dusk I saw a strobe light that appeared to be moving across the sky at 40 mph about 200 yards from me over a field. It moved erratically changing directions often. Disappeared, and then resumed a zig-zag pattern again. Strobing/flashing. It was small. Silent. Only moved 1/4 mile total and vanished. Way to fast, small and erratic to be any type of aircraft.

The girlfriend saw it the second time, so it wasn't my alcoholic beverage.

G/f called pd. Dispatcher told her not to touch it and to call back if it did anything else. (Sigh)

Haha. It’s okay, call it what it is. It‘s a UFO. Doesn’t necessarily mean aliens. Just means it’s unidentified.

I actually saw something in the sky in the middle of the day a few months ago. I was driving back from the airport on the Sam Houston toll road. Bright sunny day and no clouds. Very bright light, like a white LED light going at a brisk pace across the horizon to the south. Much faster than airliners I see over my house that are much closer. Suddenly it just disappeared.

Gauging size / speed / distance of airborne objects, particularly in poor lighting is difficult unless you know the scale. 6' wingspan of a Vulture or Eagle or plane you're familiar with.

Erratic movement & disappear / reappear is another matter. Baytown is likely under some kind of attack.

My g/f is a tee-totaler -zero alcohol, ever- and she saw it. And, I had a beverage. I wasn't sheite-faced...

It was a serious post asking for info/insight. But, internet trolls must have their fun.

Was it silent from your point of view and did it have at times mixing of red, yellow, and some green? Did it vanish and appear elsewhere?

It was a bright, white strobe. 3-4 blinks, pause, 3-4 blinks, radical change of direction, more blinks as it traveled in a straight line followed by another radical, straight-line change in direction.
    Complete silence.

It did vanish and then appear elsewhere.

Hard to say. Could be something easy to explain. Could be something else I have seen before.

Did at any point it stop and give off an intense light then vanish?

No. Constant 3-4 strobes, pause, reappear a distance down the same path. Zig-zag, strobe, etc. Same color and intensity of light. Bright camera flash light. At first I thought it was some kind of RC aircraft, but it was moving too fast and too erratically.
