Funny, a wet year in phoenix is 8 inches.

If we got 3 inches in a few hours in phoenix absolute chaos would reign. Bridges would wash out, under passes would be flooded for days. I remember one big storm in the late 70s absolutely destroyed 7 or 8 bridges over the rivers making I10 useless as a road and cutting off huge parts of the city. Hiw quickly they forget. 10s of thousands of homes are now built in areas that get 10 feet under water in 100 year storms. The folly of man indeed.

But the desert smells absolutely wonderful after the rain.

Wednesday is my wifey's birthday. She dreads all the "May the fourth be with you" stuff. Taking her to dinner - her requests were "someplace we haven't been, preferably Mexican. No pasta, no pizza, no burger joints" - simple, eh?

I'm open to suggestions for good Mexican in a 20ish mile drive of Magnolia. She doesn't want to go to Las Fuentes, Rancho Grande, 5 De Mayo, Blue Iguana, Julio's, Abuelo's, or El Emprador because we've been to all of them.

Tell her happy birthday.

I'll send her a sith trooper purse of you like. Lol

Just kidding.

Tell her it could be worse. Her birthday could be Christmas and get lost in the holidays or leap day and only come around every 4th year.
