doors stay locked...interior and exterior at all times. Public entrances especially. No exceptions. escorted at entry point if some parent or delivery needs entry. And escorted back out.

Armed select staff. Preferably with long guns (secured) they can get to. This is perhaps the most difficult part as it requires dedication, training, and willing to assume the liability. Not to mention the problems with staffing shortages, calling in sick, substitutes, field trips, etc, etc.

the above are doable at minimum expense. There will still be lapses and failures as the best laid plans of mice and men will certainly come into play.
    Nope.

By addressing the root of the problem- mental health and over-medication, or incorrectly medicating (even perhaps changing culturally to not rely on medication to solve problems in some instances).

Democrat run states will pass feel good gun laws for the only reason of patting themselves on the back, feeling like they did something. When reality, all they did was mis-diagnose the problem. Or, perhaps they know gun control won’t solve any real problems, and they just don’t care. Properly addressing mental health requires serious resources and commitment, something that most politicians and policy makers seem willing to do.

Watching shootemups is one thing. The good guys always won. Now it's the bad guys who are glorified. And yes, we had guns, and we were taught what they were to be used for and what they were NEVER to be used for. There's a big difference.

Where the hell does an 18 year old get enough money to go down and buy those guns? That's the problem. You know damn good and well he didn't work for it.

It’s not that hard to work and save money, especially if you’re still living at home. I swear I had more disposable income at 18 than I do now. That’s probably not true but it feels like it.

But the fact remains I could have easily. I bought my first rifle at 16.

I did as well. No wife, or kids, small one room garage apartment, my own car, and two jobs!

Same here, bought a firearm at 18. I was never taught how to use/operate it, but taught myself. I grew up in the hoods of Cali, so I’ve seen all sorts of crap. The major difference is that my siblings always wanted me to do better in life so I did (none of my family did hood rat crap).

    Ok I’ll chime in.

Certain people don’t need to be around. The law should be firm and unwilling to bend. Woah now I’m sure you’re thinking: People make mistakes they can be rehabilitated.

Sometimes and make it a case by case basis for lower level criminals. The rest of them can be forgotten. Lowering the legal bar to hang at noon would make a lot more people second guess themselves.

Maybe I should have started with this but if someone were to ask me how many people should die until we apply common sense gun reform. My answer: everyone because you missed the point.

Trading our rights for security when society does retarded things is illogical. Here’s a good example of why gun reform is illogical: shooting deaths are a pandemic but more people kill others by bad driving but that’s not a pandemic because odds are you’re a shitty driver and can’t admit you’re a problem. People are too retarded to find the answer to society’s love affair with zero self control.

What we can do is admit the situation we are in and arm ourselves, our schools, our neighborhoods, and admit the world is mad.

And just WHO is suppose to be responsible for doing that teaching? And just WHO seems to be failing at those lessons?

    Short answer? Parents!

Just gonna say that as recently as the late 80s/early 90s gunracks and shotguns were common place on trucks in the Pflugeville High School parking lot during dove season. Class of ‘92 didn’t do shit like this.
Class of '81. Small rural high school. Would have been very uncommon for a truck with a gun rack in the school parking lot to not have a gun in it, whether a student or a teacher's vehicle.

None of my classmates became mass shooters.

Honestly, I couldn’t agree more. I agree that we can go back to the death penalty because we all know that murders/rapist/terrorist cannot change their mind on how fvked up they are. Furthermore, I don’t agree with gun control not one bit of it. It’s our amendments for a reason, and our nation was literally built upon taking down a tyrannical government. Lastly, again, I couldn’t agree more. Always carrying a piece so you don’t get caught lacking is what my childhood taught me.

Considering what just happened, what’s your way to reduce or stop “mass shootings” besides armed security/teachers. I’m excluding this because it’s probably the most logical and obvious way. Let me know.
First, eliminate ALL “Gun-Free Zones”, then arrange for volunteer Grandfathers to stand guard in shifts. Arm them and ALL patrol LEO’s with modern CARBINES !
