We’ve got two - a 40 by 60 we built in 2005 that is a workshop and storage and a 30 by 80 we built in 2016. The newer one has a fully furnished apartment and climate controlled workshop for my wife. The county taxes them exactly the same. If we were moving out to the country all over again we’d live in a big steel building. When you are inside the apartment you can’t tell you that aren’t in a traditional stick built home (except for the suspended ceilings). If anyone else is looking to build a workshop there is a huge amount of useful information at

    Wired...30 days..maybe..
Spray foam will have to wait till Sept when the budget recovers
Why the heck would you wait for spray foam and not insulate the building as the wall panels and roof panels were placed…..easy peasy.

I cant imagine anyone applying spray foam to a building WHILE it's being built but hey..I dont know everything

I'm going to wait and let them finish and then install my electronic conduits and run my wiring...then have the spray foam applied.

I’m not sure what part of TX you are in.However, if you have not already installed them you should consider some ridge vents.
You won’t believe how much heat they can expel.

I would not advise encasing your EMT and wiring in a ridged insulation. Things always change. I would run my vinyl backed insulation between the panels and the perlins and then run any electrical you have between the perlins. You can always cover them with a wall panel if you don’t like the look.

Why don't you find a video showing what you are suggesting and start a thread about it so I can ignore it and do it the way I want to?
