Texas is one of the states with a trigger law. In 30 days, abortion aside from saving the life of the mother will be illegal here. That's a big win for lots of unborn Texan Americans. Let the baby killers cry themselves to sleep tonight. Louisiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and South Dakota have bans that went into immediate effect with no waiting period or certification of the ruling by the state AG or legislature. 9 other states including our great state will have aborted abortion in their states within 30 days by their already enacted trigger laws. Many other states are expected to act soon either by emergency legislative session, or during their next regular session to advance pro life bills, and the number of states that effectively ban abortion either entirely, or except to save the mother or for rape/incest cases should closely mirror states that have enacted permitless carrying of a firearm, which is 25 or 26 at this point.

The lefty run shitholes are still there for those who wish to kill the unborn for convenience. Colorado, California, New York, Oregon, Washington, etc. Surprisingly Alaska is looking like it will keep abortion as-is, but Alaska is a different sort of state, and with something like 2:1 man to woman ratio, the residents there might not see it as a big deal.

Looks like it's already stopped in Texas...

The midterms just got a lot more sporty.

Maybe. But I don’t think it will have a very large effect. When the leak happened and everyone screamed it didn’t really register at all in the polls.

Not saying I trust them to be very accurate, but the inaccuracy tends to hold at a certain level. And in this case any normal inaccuracy would have favored Dems which would be pushed as a headline by the MSM. Instead it had no effect. I think people are far more concerned with gas prices and worthless dollars.

I think Dems are really going to push the birth control angle due to it being mentioned.

Had a discussion on FB with someone who’s pretty unhappy about the SCOTUS ruling and she mentioned it several times. Even though I pointed out several times that nobody supports restricting birth control and pro life types actively encourage it.

Hell, I’d say it’s the pro abortion people who seem to have the biggest issue with using birth control. But they can try to scare people so that’s the direction I’d bet they will try to take this.

Yep. This is their mythology. If abortion is restricted, then obviously we're coming for contraception next. And gay rights. And we're going to enslave women as breeding stock.

And no, that's not my hyperbole. That's their actual narrative. Someone I know personally posted on Facebook that "this is the first step to Gilead!" - referencing the left's favorite oppression porn, "A Handmaid's Tale". Which, of course, we on the right are supposedly full-on in support of making come true according to them.
