Got maybe a yard of dirt/dead grass to get rid of. I've heard about taking things to the dump but when I tried to google local dumps I just got confused... I'm in Pflugerville.

    Thanks,

How much does it cost for the Hutto landfill? I only see a $25 fine if it's not tarped.
That’s bullshit they have those signs but I’ve never been fined. I’m honestly not sure, I only go with trailers and never have less then 3 tons.

Do you have it bagged or how did you plan on taking it? The reason I ask is i have a dump trailer on a job in cedar park that I’m taking to dump Tuesday or Wednesday. I wouldn’t give a shit If you threw it on there, It would save you probably $50.

    Let me guess.
    You've got a college degree?
I have not. Never been to a landfill. That's all the information I've been able to find online.

So basically I've been doing some side work for this distant neighbor. Mowing their lawn and the other task was to throw away a pile of dirt. This time around it didn't work and they took none of it. Finding this out kinda late. So I have to empty the trashcan that we were using, so they can throw away their normal trash again. Some of it was bagged, but next to the can. Quite heavy really.

I would have to rent a trailer again for my F two fiddy Prius again. That alone is probably going to be $50. Plus the dump's fees... I have no idea if they will want this done. Their method sounded kinda illegal. Talking about letting it slowly drain into the street drain... I really, really, really do not want to do that.

My other problem is that I work a full time job, Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30 so I would have to wait until the next Saturday to do all of this. I may just tell them to advertise on marketplace and craigslist, after I clear out the can.

Lol, ya their method is questionable at best. Saturday the trailer will be on the next job Anderson mill and 620 area, If by some strange series of events I have it on the truck I’ll let you know. Most people are going to want to charge but they might get lucky and find someone looking for free dirt.

I guess luckily I only told them I would shovel it into their garbage can. I just feel bad that it's a problem now and trying to come up with a solution. Right now I'm wishing I had a pickup or a trailer.
And especially if you are thinking about buying some property and building, a truck and trailer are almost essential.

Put out a sign or post it on your local sales site. Somebody will come shovel it up and haul it off for you. Put a price on it to make it sound like a good deal.
