We have a neighbor who burns all the goddamned time, who just gives zero fucks about leaving unattented burns too. He downed some trees in his front yard, bucked them up, and burned the whole pile over the course of a week, when it was dry as hell. Thankfully not very windy that week.

Yesterday a neighbor called it out on our neighborhood facebook page, because he was burning limbs and leaves. Two weeks ago another neighbor was burning yard debris, and it caught his house on fire and burned 1/3 of it. We had 5 fire engines, the water rescue team, and a couple incident command vehicles show up for that mess.

Check and see if your county has a burn ban going. If they do, call the sheriff's department and they will fine his sorry inconsiderate ass!

    We don't. Its frustrating, really.

The husband of the HOA that is in place in most of the neighborhood is both a Deputy Constable and Captain with Magnolia Fire, and he confirmed when the other neighbor complained that there is no burn ban in effect. I could've swore I read on Montgomery County Police Reporter that we *were* - but that was old info from a year or so ago.

Burn ban or not, if his fire gets out from his property and damages other property, he's liable for those damages.

Montgomery County still won't issue a burn ban or fireworks ban. I'm 1,000 ft from the county line with Waller County, which has had a burn ban for quite some time, and has banned most fireworks sales and use.
    Yeah, we're in Montgomery county.
It's only "recommended" that no fireworks be used.

Man… these summer nights are hard to quit on. What a beautiful night! I’d go all night if I didn’t have folks relying on me to get the brisket on in the AM. Hoping I can do justice.

Cigar by the pool was alright

Sleep, my kingdom for sleep! My throat only hurts really at night now. 10 days of needing a decent ammount of pain meds. That's longer than back surgeries where after 6 or 7 days the pain really drops off. It took till last night before I could eat anything but soft stuff.

I might need the rest of the tonsils out but gotta see the oncologist first. I'm still hoping since it was stage 0 or in situ cancer I will have no chemo or any of that crap. But, since that virus hides in the tonsil....

So please be quiet. Between the early fire works and puppy needing to go out 2 times last night I'm a grumpy crotchety bastard. Grrrr

I dont dare add some captain morgan to my large healing wound in my throat. Lol

To top off the night the batteries in the safe where I keep my pain meds n guns died. Havnt seen the keys in 10 years. Luckily, for once in my miserable life, they were right where I left them. Lol

Maybe buy a lotto ticket today. How quickly the worm turns.

    Yaaaaeeeeeee

At least I found the keys quicker than the power tools.

Insert evil cackle here while rubbing hands together.

    Damn, that’s rough.

I still remember having mine out at age six...nothing like your experiencing.

Always heard it was harder on adults.

Good luck on the rest of it.
