Just floated the 512 Pecan Porter in the kegerator. Replaced it with a quarter barrel of Shiner Blonde. That’s the way I’ll finish out the summer heat.

Currently a half barrel of Yuengling Lager. This is quite possibly the smoothest drinking beer I’ve ever tasted.

I pretty much lost my taste for beer working the renfest. There’s something about smelling spilt beer in the heat & humidity all weekend. Had lots to choose from being it was a draft bar.

If I had to choose drafts for my personal leg system it be Young’s Double Chocolate Stout & Lindemen’s Lambics, Harp & Bohemia

There's a few ales I like, but for the most part, I can't tolerate beer. It just tastes too nasty for me to even try to develop a taste for it.

I do enjoy a good bourbon or Irish whiskey. I like gin too. Mixed drinks are the main thing I drink though, which I seldom do. It's hard to go wrong with a screwdriver.

Cheap canned orange juice & rock gut vodka will change your mind fast.

    V8, Tabasco, lime juice, gin.

Cherry juice, lime juice, seltzer water, gin.

    Fresca, lime juice, gin.

    Ice, gin.

    Are you seeing the pattern?

I was an avid beer drinker, and loved beer, up until about 10 years ago. Gout now prevents me from having more than one every 5 to 6 months. Same with wine.

Did you ever do the golden raisins soaked in gin for your gout?

I did. I did not notice a difference. Thanks for remembering and asking.

Gin, and vodka, seem to be the only two spirits I can drink without provoking a gout flare. I have also adjusted my diet in major ways. Gout is from Satan.

I attempt to follow a low sodium diet, avoid high fructose corn syrup like a plague, eat limited amounts of red meat, and eat as much pasta, beans, etc., without meat fats as possible. Hydration is also a must in keeping the gout- monster at bay!

Grain alcohol vodka & gin are my main long term choices. I do like Kaluhua in my coffee with heavy cream and enjoy a caucasian even once in a while.

Green Chartruse is another botanical I enjoy. Lots of ice, chartreuse roses lime & pineapple juice. It's truly an Aphrodisiac if ever their was one.

Fresca and tequila is good, had it on Cozumel visiting a tequila tasting place.

I have the palette of a 6 year old, so I never developed a taste for beer. I can't stand it.
Only drink I care for are Margaritas. I might average one a year.

I wish that I was that lucky because some of the craft beers taste like they are mixed with goat piss. I never could tolerate much liquor only in mixed drinks. I used to love a good gin and tonic but they sneak up on me.

Now I stick with Mexican beers if I eat at Mexican restaurants.
