Trump probably should release the secret service from their duties and just use his own private security people - they're probably more trustworthy and loyal to him than his SS detail. They might be tasked with protecting him, but SS is still an enforcement agency under Biden & Co. It would afford him more freedom of movement as well, because the SS doesn't like impropmptu trips. I think his own private security team could be more nimble.

Trump already has copy of the warrant
Never have gotten a warrant for anything, tell us what it is and what docs are involved please. I assume it is a paper that gives permission to LE to search for particular evidence. Also assume the property owner gets to see the warrant before the search is begun. Otherwise LE just waits till you leave, enter and do whatever.
Yup, on-site SS probably informed Trump of the search. Doesn't appear to have been any supervision of the search though. Maybe the 'captured' some 'sniff' of her clothes for Joe.

    Statement by AG Merrick Garland

    He personally approved the raid...

What a coincidence that now the AG reverses his earlier position (aka he lied) and admits he authorized the raid, and then the media comes out with blanket justifications of how desperate the situation was because of Trump stealing vital govt documents. Sadly, the millions will quietly nod and move on

So Garland said nothing of substance, which was to he expected.

Just to put it out there, the warrant will say something generic along the lines of property and or documents belonging to the US government. The inventory will say something generic about sealed document boxes were seized.

Unless it’s photos of the president committing a clear felony along the lines of starring in kiddie porn snuff films in the White House basement, the FBI overplayed it’s hand.

Yeah, but they got to wear vests and brandish cool guns.

When Trump left the white house, he (aka his aides) packed up a few boxes and they wound up in Mar A Lago rather than DC (i think the treasury?)where they were supposed to go. Once DC realized this, they requested the boxes from Trump, so he had his people get them to DC. His people missed a few boxes, and as DC was going through the boxes they did receive, they realized there were some confidential papers in the mix that weren't supposed to be in there. Knowing they still had boxes at Mar a Lago is why the FBI got involved and they showed up during normal business hours.

It's not as exciting as any news Channel would have you believe.

Such an incident would not require a warrant - it would require a phone call saying "hey, there was a mix up, we got some of your stuff, you still have some of ours, lets arrange for secure transport of what we need, and for the secure return of your stuff"

    This is political shenanigans.

Crowder was saying today that Trumps lawyer was at the house and was not allowed to see the warrant or stay while the agents searched.

WSJ summed today’s presser up nicely.

By sanctioning the Mar-a-Lago search, Mr. Garland has broken a political norm that has stood for 232 years. He had better have enough evidence to justify it in the end, or he will have unleashed political forces and a legal precedent that Democrats as much as Donald Trump may come to regret.

IIRC Obama changed the rules something about his Presidential Library and what is allowed in it - and he is in control of it. He did issue an executive order stating all documents/notes/etc from Fed Gov are property of the Fed Gov. And Fed archive determines what actually gets kept.
Acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall has been appointed to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission. In charge of US classified system along with the Archive.
Garland admitted he signed off on the warrant. According to Trump lawyer present at the scene, she finally saw the warrant but not the affidavit(s) that gave reason for the warrant.
Per some TV guy, some states will not allow a person 'charged' with a felony to appear on the ballot. So all the Dems have to do is charge him. Indicted or not! So presumption of innocence is not allowed in those states? Pretty unconstitutional rules!

President Trump while STILL President in 2020 re: Crossfire Hurricane.

I hereby declassify the remaining materials in the binder. This is my final determination under the declassification review and I have directed the Attorney General to implement the redactions proposed in the FBI's January 17 submission and return to the White House an appropriately redacted copy," Trump wrote. "My decision to declassify materials within the binder is subject to the limits identified above and does not extend to materials that must be protected from disclosure pursuant to orders of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and does not require the disclosure of certain personally identifiable information or any other materials that must be protected from disclosure under applicable law. Accordingly, at my direction, the Attorney General has conducted an appropriate review to ensure that materials provided in the binder may be disclosed by the White House in accordance with applicable law.

The Just-us Department & Federal Bureau of Intimidation still has not released the files...

The Federal Bureau of Intimidation kicked in the doors to Mar-a-lago to GET Trump's copy - to protect democrats and themselves.
