That also ensures that that they control the narrative and define the context. They want all documents created during his time in office.
They intend to erase his presidency by destroying them so there are no artifacts.

If having confidential documents that the president can at any time declassify, then every president would have been investigated. Trump is said to have 13 boxes of documents, Obama is said to have taken 51 boxes when he left the White House, and others have taken many boxes themselves. Where's the precedence in investigating former presidents for the documents they took? This is a fishing expedition brought on by a partisan government to destroy a person they believe never should have been president in the first place. When Trump left the white house, he (aka his aides) packed up a few boxes and they wound up in Mar A Lago rather than DC (i think the treasury?)where they were supposed to go. Once DC realized this, they requested the boxes from Trump, so he had his people get them to DC. His people missed a few boxes, and as DC was going through the boxes they did receive, they realized there were some confidential papers in the mix that weren't supposed to be in there. Knowing they still had boxes at Mar a Lago is why the FBI got involved and they showed up during normal business hours.
It's not as exciting as any news Channel would have you believe.

ThisThe warrant was issued on Aug. 5th a, Friday, then executed on the following Monday, skipping Friday, Sat, Sun.
There is only one reason for this; executing it on Friday, the story would have been buried over the weekend. Carrying out the warrant on Monday- the media had all week to beat it senseless.
After this raid is executive privilege dead now? I don't see how it's not.Wonder what they are lookin' for
>> It'd be awesome if people went to jail over the FBI raid. Of course it's not going to happen, but a guy can dream.Wonder what they are lookin' for
