How about a 1963 Fleetwood. The hood, roof and deck lid were each bigger than ping pong tables.

Sure feels like the cycle we saw in the 70s. All new American made big blocks were gone. And the Big 3 stopped cranking out convertibles. A few T tops, with anemic 350 motors, Vette, Firebird, Camero. But even those were detuned and neutered. Speedos topped out at 85MPH. Caddie made a big deal about their last convertible model final production. Collectors grabbed them up. Then GM got the shit sued out of them when they started producing them 10 years later.

Maybe the electric one will be more reliable than the ICE one?

    (hides)

Have no fear, Fiat-Chrysler will find a way to **** those up too. We'll probably hear stories of people being electrocuted, electrical fires, shorts that cause the cars to stop on the freeways, or some other weirdness. Or maybe they'll get the reliability thing right, but they'll be Tim Taylor'ing the things so they draw so much current that the battery lasts 10 minutes. Maybe get some random fires from overheated components.

I had an '07 SRT8 Charger for just shy of 10 years, and am now in a '19 Scat Pack Charger. They're the only Mopars I've ever owned, and only two data points, but I have to say both have been 100% reliable. Gas, oil, and tires. I did put some suspension bushings in the '07, but I drove it like I stole it. Kinda have to expect that when you're slinging a 4400lb. sled around like it's a go cart.

Not interested in a daily driver but like it or not an electric car will smoke ICE car in a drag or light to light race. The douche mobile Tesla plaid is the fastest straight line street legal car. No getting around that, it is fact.

What series do you race in?

I just drive for fun. EVs are not fun.
