The key to shooting a j frame trigger double action is being able to feel that "spot" where the cylinder quits rotating and the sear breaks. Practice using the trigger to just rotate the cylinder, hold it, aim add another couple pounds of trigger and boom. It's almost like having a single action when you get good at it.
Agreed, except for this should be .45 colt in bp.
Classic revolvers have an undefined quality not unlike surplus warhorses. I believe je ne sais quoi is the term.An elegant weapon from a more refined age.
My K frame S&W 357 is my favorite. It’s the most enjoyable shooter I own and I have a Python so that’s sayin something. The 357 Magnum is my favorite handgun cartridge of them all. You can shoot some rip snortin' Magnums or you can tone it down and shoot some mild 38 Special.
A K frame S&W in 357 is just about perfect, an N frame is almost as good.
Smiths have always had nicer DA triggers. I very rarely shoot single actionMy K frame S&W 357 is my favorite. It’s the most enjoyable shooter I own and I have a Python so that’s sayin something.
they don't fling brass all over the place.
QFT.You don’t have to bend over to pick up your brass.
Everyone needs a good revolver. There may come a time when you don't want to leave your bass behind.
This is just for environmental reasons of course.
Please name that place so we will all know where NOT to go.This reminded me of an silly experience I had at a snooty indoor gun range.
