A bit too formulaic, same video-game plot as the others:
Impossible task/missions to reach the Big Boss.
Beat up the Big Boss and win the game.

But hey, it’s checking 2 of 3 movie boxes for me:
Guns - check
King Fu - check
Robots from the Future - fail
