I just got my first Airforce Airgun, pretty excited about it but curious where you all get your tanks? I've wondered about reaching out to the local fire departments to see if they have any tanks they would sell?

    Middle of no where
Welding supply, scuba shop, paint ball field that fills nitrogen.

Your average tank is 2000psi. At a paintball field with nitrogen they can compress up to 4500 psi.

Paintball and most all scuba shops use compressed air, not Nitrogen.
I would definitely go compressed air instead of dry Nitrogen. It's a lot cheaper and easier to keep from leaking due to atomic size of the gas.

Easiest place is probably a scuba shop. They can sell and fill your tanks both. The size and type of tank (Alumn or Steel) will limit your max pressures, but most guns don't want over 3k pressure anyways. Cost to fill is pretty cheap. Every year you have to get your tank visual inspected, and every 5 years you need a hydro test, most scuba shops can do that as well.

    Hope this helps.

search for PCP air compressors and fill the tanks yourself.

they have small units now and if you buy a Fiberglass fireman's air tank I forgot the acronym and fill that with your compressor you can then fill your guns tank multiple times without waiting on the compressor.

Ebay is a good source for the air tanks. Just watch the expiration dates if that worries you. AND DONT DROP ONE lol.

I bought a decent compressor for my Airforce TalonP
It was a bit more expensive than a Scuba tank, but it runs off of either AC or 12volt DC and I don't have pay anyone for air.
I also have a hand pump that works just fine for the small 3000 psi tank on the TalonP

I have a SCBA tank I would sell you cheap. It’s brand new but will need a hydro test because it’s been in storage. Usually that will run you about $20 every 5 years. I will grow in the regulator and harness in the event you also want to convert it to run air tools. Send me a PM or email me tanktest@gmail.com

OK...but, I prefer 'break barrel'...don't need no extry....
I'm thinking' that if he wanted something different, he would have got it.

Get a compressor like they said above, and just fill your own tanks. As far as where to get 'em, I got no idea.

I got my compressor on Amazon, but there are lots of online airgun shops that sell them too.
