    As a reminder, 49 CFR 1540 covers carriage of a firearm by a commercial airline passenger. From 1540.111…

    (c) In checked baggage. A passenger may not transport or offer for transport in checked baggage or in baggage carried in an inaccessible cargo hold under § 1562.23 of this chapter:

    (1) Any loaded firearm(s).

    (2) Any unloaded firearm(s) unless -

    (i) The passenger declares to the aircraft operator, either orally or in writing, before checking the baggage, that the passenger has a firearm in his or her bag and that it is unloaded;

    (ii) The firearm is unloaded;

    (iii) The firearm is carried in a hard-sided container; and

    (iv) The container in which it is carried is locked, and only the passenger retains the key or combination.

    Passenger did his part. From TSAs interpretive rule on this, TSA gets a vote
    …A screener has discretion to prohibit an individual from carrying an item into a sterile area or onboard an aircraft if the screener determines that the item is a weapon, explosive, or incendiary, regardless of whether the item is on the prohibited items list or the permitted items list….

    Yep, TSA gets to just make it up.

    Vengeance is mine....or don't steal from churches.

    While attempting to steal the holy statue, Alonso allegedly tripped and fell on top of Saint Michael's sword. During the stumble, the man seriously injured his neck.

    This quote from the lawyer is kinda baffling:

    “Despite this outcome, Joshua Black, an employment attorney, suggested to AZ Family, "My advice would be to someone working at a gas station would be, do not carry a gun. Do not bring a gun. There is nothing at that job that is worth risking your life."

    Also, if you're boating don't bring a life preserver, do not wear a life preserver. There's nothing at the lake that's worth risking drowning for.

    If you're cooking in your kitchen, don't have a fire extinguisher. There's nothing in that kitchen that's worth risking burning your house down over.

    If you're driving, don't have a spare tire, there's no reason to risk being stranded by the side of the road.

    Same logic in those three statements as in his.

    Heard a story about a guy who went to prison for child molestation and he served a short sentence.

    Guy was found dead in a ditch, after being killed as he walked home from jail.

    There's a video on utube of the father (whose teenage son was abducted and molested by some predator), who was waiting in the walkway of the airport when the perp was being walked out by officers to be sent somewhere... basically he was getting a slap on the wrist. The father turned around and put a bullet through the bastard's head then dropped the gun and surrendered.
    I think he deserves a medal.
