Q uses a Cherry Bomb QD. Sure would like to see how well they work. Guess I’ll have to wait on getting the can before I can try it out. Grrrrrr

How often will your rifles get shot un suppressed? You're already going to need different thread adapters, so you may also want to consider a QD system

Definitely going to go with a
QD system. Another expense! Oh well, can’t take it with you!

I switched over from ASR to Cherry Bomb.
It’s not as quick on/off as a true QD system, but it seems to work well and the Cherry Bomb muzzle device is a lot lighter than others.

lmk if you sell those ASR devices homie
I'm waiting on my 46m, are ASR mounts the cats pyjamas or what? I'm not thrilled at the prospect of 3 ARs, an AK, and some pistol barrels but I'm less excited about bare threads and 30 seconds of direct mount for every gun.

tbh I dont own any yet. I have a 36M that I direct thread to my bolt guns, but I have a feeling I will stick with SiCo from here on out. If that ends up being the case, then I will invest in all of the ASR muzzle devices. I have a ton of tactical rifles that need them. Its alot of money though. They are way overpriced imo.

As far as if there is something that is compatible with our suppressors and better than ASR? I leave that up to the resident forum suppressor nerds on here to let us know. I havent cared to research it beyond trying to find something that is cheaper as well as compatible. The cheapest thing I have found is ASR on sale around holidays, either at SiCo's online store or Capital Armory

    I should have got a 46M....

Hah I haven't even gotten mine yet to tell you if it's good or not. I just wanted to be able to shoot my 1911s then swap it to the ARs or AK. Maybe I'll start a thread asking what some good muzzle devices are for our needs. Side from caliber I assume they'd come from the same place.

Damn, you just reminded me of something I hadn’t really thought about. I had planned on getting a suppressor, and 3 or 4 different muzzle devices so I could easily swap the suppressor between hosts. But, if I get another supressor, and it’s from a different company, that means new QD muzzle devices! May sway my decision to go with a SiCo device rather than the GunWerks 6. Going tomorrow to the LGS that has one of those kiosks. Hoping one if their associates has enough experience to answer some questions about that.

You're going to end up suppressing all your guns anyways. It can't be helped.

    Eta, which side of Houston?

I relied on my LGS where I bought my 36m to fill me in on alot of this info. It seems like a few suppressors from other brands have some sort of adapter to work with ASR mounts

Quite a few can have the same diameter and threads on the rear cap where it threads into the body of the can giving you the ability to use other companies muzzle devices (QD mounts).

Looking at specs is fine, but if you can find someone with the model of can you are looking at and try it out. A few DB of noise reduction isn’t as noticeable as you would think.

Each can has a different tone. That is likely the best guage to use.

Most any of the mainstream companies make good reliable cans.

Most of mine are SiCo and I am happy with them.

To the OP, a good 30 cal can and a .22 rimfire can should cover most of your needs. Many rimfire cans can handle up to a .22 hornet.

That was my plan; my Energetic Armament Nyx Mod 2 for .22 LR, .22WMR, and it'll even do full auto 5.7 (but I may never have that caliber) and thats what steered me to my 46M; the 36M seems really highly regarded as really good all around, but it won't shoot .45 caliber like 45acp or 4570 govt which is why I went for the 46M despite its main purpose will be on my .300blk rifle. Not quite as good db rating as the 36m but more versatile. Some reviewers even reported some 30 calibers shot through the 46M is quieter than the 36M! 2 cans and done for me since the year long waits drive me batty.

Yea I wish I went with the 46M but I think it was announced or I became aware of it existing after I already bought the 36M.

Id love the 46m for suppressing bigger bore rifles. The 36m gets me up to 35 Whelen but not to 9.3 and .375

I hate the long wait too. I am hoping that the next time I buy one it will suck less since I have two to use right now.

The employee at my LGS suggested buying a .22 can at the same time as the 36m. Best decision I ever made. I shoot my 10/22 with subsonic loads in my backyard almost daily.

I am also looking at the Dead Air Primal as a cheaper alternative to the 46m...

Feels like you're about 5-10 years ahead of me on my life goals; enough land to have a personal shooting range, but also being courteous enough to neighbors just on the horizon with a few suppressors. As soon as mine comes in I might drive out to ya and let you use it to see if you like it. I feel I still owe you for some of that venison you gave me.

Great suggestion. I started out with a SiCo Spectre II before I began my real stamp collectioning. The SiCo Hybrid 46 is a good can. A little heavy for a 1911, but is greatness on my .458 SOCOM and my AR in .45 acp. I did eventually get dedicated 9mm and 45 ACP cans for pistols. Note that many 9mm cans are rated for 300BO subsonic.

I will say my 30 cal cans are magic with 300BO subsonic loads.

Wish I had an American 180 to run full auto with the spectre II.
