It hs been reported that it was sparsely attended.
Yes and no. For vendors, most if not all of the major manufactures made it out from what I could tell. For non vendors\public attendance it was very very sparse.

Remington needs to let go of some control, these can't be held in that kind of summer heat and although T1G is an awesome place the location wasn't the greatest. If rumors are true and T1G is under the corporate umbrella it was still a bad choice.

I also think moving away from the wounded warrior charity to a generic kids cancer charity was a mistake. The charity should be something more centric to the industry. I'm not knocking the good cause they supported I was glad to contribute but it's a mind f#$k to go from silencers to kids cancer.

Agree with all this and will add, they should focus on a silencer shoot and avoid concerts, X-Games, etc.

I've never been to one of these but it seems like all the motorcycle jumping, "Rockstar" energy drink crap would really cheapen the event. Are they trying to attract a bunch of teenagers?

If I was in the US I probably would have went, if for nothing else to shoot the match. I also saw that they raffled off a Remington MSR that is worth over 12 grand, not sure how much the raffle tickets went for.....

Agree that Memphis in June is only slightly less sucky than Baghdad in June and all the x-games crap really doesn't add anything to the event. Seems like they would be better off holding this event somewhere like the knob creek range in Kentucky.
