I was at the last Fort Worth gun show and thought about Trey when looking and handling all the psa’s in stock. Nothing seemed of bad quality.

And the one my fil ordered and let me inspect in detail.

Trey got a lemon. But if psa ain’t like omg we are so sorry that left the facility, then I don’t blame him.

Without beating a dead horse, I concur. I've been happy with everything I have ordered from PSA but realize lemons exist from any manufacturer of anything. CS reps can make or break a companies reputation. If you have a problem and they sh^t on you, f'em. I believe PSA has worked hard to move pass their previous rep but it is possible they are getting so big and doing so many things at once that some things are falling through the cracks.

Your experience holds value regardless of failure rates just cause they made it complicated.

One of my biggest gripes of our current world…everything has to be complicated
The whole buying guns online is complicated thanks to the federal government. That is the shit part of it all.

Dtechnik VZ-58 for the win ! Honestly sorry to hear about that psa ak trey. If you want to sell that mount ping me here or on my cell if you still have it. Like I had said earlier, only 2 defects I've had on new AR lowers were both PSA guns with their "enhanced" triggers. I still have a NIB Zastava that needs some feeding but somehow I always grab the MAK90 or a VZ first.

A regular private gun club friend is a Fedex MD-11 (widebody jet) mechanic. His skills pay off with guns he has bought.

He bought a Gen. 5 PSA "AK" nib , and had two problems; pretty minor luckily.

    1) For the mag to fit he had to do something to the mag catch.

    2) For reliable primer strikes he bought a correct-length firing pin.

Sidenote: my latest 7,62x39 gun was bought in spring 2019 - a Czechpoint VZ-58 Sporter.
I bought it nib "Buy Now" for;)Piece-Of-Mind --vs.-- saving money on a lower-priced VZ-2008. ;)The vast majority of the 2008s are good quality, by the way.

I'm not good at repairing things, and don't like to ship guns anywhere. So far the Czech VZ has over 3,200 rds. (used boxes are counted) with zero issues. My choice always is to pay more for a gun 'brand' and vintage which has the best chance of reliability.

For a nib, recent AKM clone:cool:, my choices would be the ZPAP ($950 Buy Now on GB) or wait for the next shipment of Polish (ie) WBP Fox rifles to arrive at Atlantic Firearms etc.
:( These Polish AKMs can Sell Out within Hours ! Far too many guys at AKfiles are always waiting on the next shipment and availability.

I personally won't drive a Kia or own a psa. For different reasons. I think higher of the Kia. Psa is not a quality rifle. In any platform. It's budget line for price driven customers. If you will only shoot 300 rounds a year then the psa will be fine. Do a couple of carbine classes witg one. See how it holds up . It won't buy once cry once. If your not worried about resale try and anderson lower. Pick a quality bolt carrier $150 minimum. And a quality barrel 250 minimum a minimum read don't should be an aimpoint pro. Lvpo should be a minimum 500 range. Push your barrel and optics price. Don't trust your life to hi point or psa
