Can you elaborate on that statement?
Had a Crimson Trace laser that came with a 642 airweight. As I said earlier, I spent more time trying to see the dot on target then just aiming or point shooting. It gave zero advantage and the grips sucked. The argument is that if you're close it's easy to see. My argument is that if you're that close who is still aiming? Reactive point and shoot should be more than sufficient at that range. Anything further, again, good luck finding that little dot out in space. Now add stress. Lasers suck. Unless it's night vision infrared, but that's a whole different ball game.

Was using a buddy’s red dot, like 3 or 4x magnification, whatever you buy at the box stores, the dot was bigger than the inner circles of the target at 100yds, I was well ****, what’s the point? Yeah, you can spend more for mo’ better, but sometimes overcomplicated isn’t better, than simple stuff. At some point it’s just larping. Not using pistols, but it’s just my thoughts on it. depending on technology, will weaken your skills and learning to compensate for issues

I put a red dot on one of my 365's and started shooting faster tighter groups then I ever did with iron sights. So for me a red dot is far better then open iron sights.

Came here to say I like the p365 xl, no laser just open sights. Noticed that going from an Xd to this, that the handgrip angle seems a little different to me. Have to hold gun a little higher or something, that how I naturally held the Xd, the sig shot a little lower. Just what I noticed, could be wrong. How bout you?
Same, 365XL just an excellent fit on hand.

I've toyed with a laser but never felt confident enough in one to put it on a pistol I wanted to depend on. I keep a Sig 365X as a sometime carry gun but mostly a nightstand gun. The red dot works well for me but I'm still getting used to it. I really like the TLR6 light for a close range (in the house at night) light. Everyone has preferences but this combo works well for me.

Theres only one good use for a laser. It needs to be IR, and you need NODs.

in order to be totally proficient with a visible laser, you need to be proficient in point shooing, and at that point you don't need a laser. It doesn't help that most of them aren't very durable or high quality.

Anyone using the Lima 365 laser sight?
    How do you like it?
How long does the battery last?
    Is it accurate?
Do you prefer red or green laser?
    Thanks
Love the Lima, get the green. Had mine for over 2 years, same batteries. I think Crimson Trace use to make the best laser, but with a $300 price tag. Arrmalaser make one but it turns on when your skin makes contact with the sensor. I like the button on the CT or Lima. Its whatever you more comfortable with. If you ever have to shoot someone in a crowd, why not have a laser.

Which red dot are you using? I've been thinking about trying one on my P365.

For now I have the Sig Romeo Zero on it. I'm thinking about switching to a Holosun.
I have both and can't see why the Holosun is twice the money. I paid twice the money for the Holosun and it's no better then the Romeo Zero.

The romeo zero is the pistol MRDS right? I've seen a lot that just can't be zeroed, most seem to run out of adjustment

I'd rather have the holosun, as much as i hate to say that

I decided to get the Holosun 407k for a couple of reasons. metal housing instead of polymer and ability to change battery w/o removing sight from pistol. I haven't mounted it yet but based on all the positive reviews I bet I'll keep it on once I do mount it.

My Roneo zero came with a metal cover. Was $150, My Holosun was $300. With a battery life of over 20K hours, it should last years before needing changing.
