F1 is perfect for clout chasers, and unfortunately younger people have been heavily influenced by the algorithmic clickbait nonsense.
It's a multiprong attack. In addition to the lending requirements there's also activist orgs becoming major shareholders in companies and even getting seats on boards. They can then sway the company in a traditional manner, but since making money isn't their primary goal they also threaten to tank the stock price if they don't get their way.
Of course neither would be an issue if these companies ran a financially sound ship and didn't depend on cheap financing and market fluctuations for funding.
VP not director, and they created that position two years ago. Don't know why no one noticed then, but I'm glad people are noticing now.

This is exactly what is happening...What I want to know is why are the big funds pushing it. What is their end game and why is it any of their business? That is the part that I don't get. Maybe it is just virtue signaling and pure arrogance. That is all that I can come up with.

I'm a race car driver (as a gentleman driver, not making a living doing it) and I did a stint (albeit very short-lived) with NASCAR....I got the below letter, it was sent to ALL folks with NASCAR credentials - this is for the 2022 season - at first my wife thought it was just to me based on some of my radio chatter from my last race (it was a little spicy LOL!!)...we got quite a kick out of it - especially when I brought the letter to my favorite bar and passed it around to my buddies LOL!! RE: Gender Bias & Sexual Harassment Training
As we bring 2021 to a successful close, our commitment to actions that strengthen diversity and inclusion across the sport continues. A key element of our broader plan is industry-wide gender bias and sexual harassment training, in partnership with the Institute for Sport and Social Justice (ISSJ).
This training is mandatory and must be completed before your NASCAR license and/or annual credential (“hard card”) can be issued. Attached are a few documents that provide instructions on how to access the training and certificates once the training has been completed. The format and schedule for the training is outlined below. We appreciate your support and participation in this process as we work together to build a more diverse and inclusive culture within the industry. Please know that we are here to help! Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

Training Format
• Primarily virtual training with an additional 3 days offered for in-person training. All sessions will be 90 minutes in duration.

All I can say is that I have not interacted with him on a professional or personal level LOL
So - deep thought of the day - whenever you hear someone say "DEI" - what's your first thought? Mine? Dale Earnhardt Inc...."you like NASCAR, eh? You know, Dale Earnhardt Inc!!"
I make a lot of friends that way! LOL
Shortly after Sr. died, quite a few changes were made. Some positive, particularly safety wise, but a lot of negative. Then the reins were passed on to the France kid, and wholesale changes followed. On that day, NASCAR lost a majority of the fan base, I believe.
Now this stunt? They'll be hard pressed to fill a quarter of the seats they fill now.
