    I bought a paint job from Maaco in 1990. Looked great, but almost exactly a month after the warranty ran out, the paint faded and took on the characteristics of a worn out powdercoat finish - you could wipe your hand on my car and the color would coat your palm.

    I remember a guy came into the motorcycle shop where I worked bragging about the paint job he got at an Earl Scheib shop in Houston. I think it was $29.95 at the time. They did mask it - kinda. And you could see where they painted the dirt that was on the car when it went in the shop.
