Nah, when I was deployed, I generally has the ground coffee crystals from the MRE accessory pouch in between one cheek and gum and half a can of Copenhagen in the other.

You ain’t lived until you’ve used the lid as a shovel.

Much more relevant. I was pre-MRE. In the C rations B3 unit, it had 5 crackers, a packet of "soluble" coffee, a packet of powdered milk, a packet of sugar, 2 cookie sandwiches, and some jelly. I think the REMFs may have put the powdered milk in their coffee.
