I'm not here to argue with you or insult you. I looked at his donor list and was not surprised. When he turned on Trump with his ads saying stupid stuff, it was clear that it was big Corporate money, aka globalists. He has aerospace company and financial groups. Trump helped DeSantis win the FL governor's office, and then he turned on Trump.
not really sure how he “turned on Trump”. Because he ran for POTUS? Trump can’t help but make everyone except Gavin newsom his enemy. the common denominator in that drama isn’t desantis.

So no examples of any donors negatively influencing his decisions as governor?

Trump has a way of listening to the wrong people sometimes.

He will try to go for the "popular" view and he will pick Nikki.
There is NO WAY in Hell that Trump pick "Bird Brain" as his VP. That woman is a Democrat all the way and a complete liar. Plus, Nimarata Randhawa doesn't believe in "God, Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie, and Chevrolet."

If Trump picks Haley he makes the same mistake he made with that idiot Pence.

If that happens it’ll be the first time in my life I walk into the booth not having decided what I’m going to do ahead of time. It’ll be tough voting for someone that stupid.

When he turned on Trump with his ads saying stupid stuff, it was clear that it was big Corporate money, aka globalists. He has aerospace company and financial groups. I used to really respect DeSantis, until he turned on Trump.

Back in 2018, DeSantis, a U.S. Rep in the Freedom Caucus (all, except for Chip Roy, endorsed Trump for 2024), ran for governor, and was way behind Adam Putnam, a popular veteran Republican , in polling support, and money. He begged Trump for the coveted MAGA endorsement and finally got it. Overnight, DeSantis ran over Putnam in money and support, finally defeating him in the primary. In the general election, Democrat Andrew Gillum was leading DeSantis by a hair, and Trump came to his aid, holding a couple of large rallies to bring the vote out and support Ronny, who eventually beat Gillum by less than 1%. And Trump helped and supported DeSantis after his win. DeSantis owes his career to Trump.

In 2021, DeSantis pledged to Trump that he would not run in 2024 if Trump decides to run himself. Kristi Noem made the same pledge. During his 2022 win for reelection, he puts together a Super Pac through the Bushes and other Republicans with an intent to enter the 2024 race. Of course Trump's people gets wind of this, thus the early attacks on DeSantis at the beginning of 2023. Trump was DeSantis mentor, was responsible for his current career. Instead of waiting until 2028 for an easy run while supporting his mentor for 2024, he throws Trump under the bus, gathering endorsements from the Never Trumpers like Paul Ryan, The Bushes, Mitt Romney, etc., all seducing him to think he could beat Trump.

DeSantis continued to make blunder after blunder, trying to straddle the fine line of competing against Trump, and yet getting his voters. This stupid wasn't going to work. He had his "basket of deplorables" moment when he called Trump supporters "listless vessels". He threw the Jan 6th protesters under the bus (along with Haley), as well as Trump, calling them "unpatriotic", saying Trump instigated the whole thing. He threw doubt into the 2020 election fraud. He opposed Trump's China policy, getting together with donors and Super Pacs at Harris Ranch in California to assure them that he will have a more measured relationship with China than Trump.

DeSantis is a conservative, no doubt, he ain't a leftist. But he has shown in the last year that he is pure, 100% politician, and I don't mean it in a flattering manner.

    Pence was a RINO set-up. A ‘’plant’’ !

Just like GHB was to Reagan.

We must defeat both the RINOS & the Demonrats.

    May GOD help us !

If he chooses Haley he wins big! If he chooses anyone else it could be a coin flip. Biden has got to go!!! Haley gives him an easy win.

By chance have you recently returned from one of the states where cannabis is legal? I'm not sure how that logic plays out otherwise - hoe would Haley be an easy win for him? The only places she won in the primary are where Democrats have a strong majority and or open primary. IIRC, she won DC because its literally the swamp, and there were about 2000 "republicans" that voted. The only other place was Vermont, where its an open primary which means anyone can vote in whichever party's primary - so again, Democrats voting in the Republican primary. Trump kicked her ass - its clear Republicans nationwide want nothing to do with Nimrata "Nikki" Haley. She's poison.

Tucker Carlson would be a solid choice - he'd solidify the base and probably draw in more conservatives who are on the fence. The other options would be picking someone like Greg Abbott, Tim Scott, Kristi Noem, even Ted Cruz. Or better would be someone NOT a politician, another outsider, but maybe one that could pull more people onto the Trump train. Nikki Haley ain't any of that.

Anyone would be a better Secretary of Defense than Lloyd Austin!!
I find it telling that Austin would go into a hospital for several days and not tell the potato (or his own DOD people) and that the cabinet has met fewer times than any other in history. Since potato has gone off on vacation more than any other POTUS in history, who the heck is steering the ship? Barry?
