I bought some Federal 5.56 55 grain for my nephew, it was a Christmas present. He turns around and sells his rifle. Now I am stuck with with a box. Federal Law mandates that the gun store will not refund me my money on the unopen box. What is the best way to pass these catridges along?

Any ideas. I would like to legally recoup my money. Do pawn shops buy from citizens.

PS. I already slapped the snot out of him for selling it.

Really? Do you know what section. Not doubting you, I'd just like to know.

A lot of gun stores won't take returned ammunition because of the liability. This is a store policy though, not a federal law.

ETA: PM what you have and where you're located. I might be able to take it off your hands.

Shoot, I'd just hang on to it. Sooner or later I'll probably have one that the ammo is good for. Gives me an excuse to get a new one
