While I don't and won't support OWSers, that guy went overboard. However the pic is still funny.

Well, they weren't moving, and I'm pretty sure that that violates something. I remember my weird sociology teacher told us that she got arrested because she was standing in front of a random cop on a sidewalk who wasn't doing anything to her, and he asked her to move out of the way, because she was blocking him, and she kept refusing to move, so she got arrested

Sociology teachers are weird as hell, always testing the social norm in stupid ways.

That shxt evens up. At close range like that, the rioters are not unarmed. I was in Chicago during the riots of 1968 and the Democratic National Convention. The rioters shot Easy Off Oven Cleaner into the faces of the cops. Add to that, bottles of gas and cans of lighter fluid. Round two is coming.

I warned about this a few weeks ago. There is no such thing as a non violent protest.....there's only violence that hasn't happened yet.

It will get worse. Winter may delay it a while. The violence is most likely in the hot weather and just before the elections in 2012.

Not enough information. Was she obstructing justice or was he being a d!ck?

That's assault of a PO, maybe higher charges. Totally unacceptable.

I never said it was OK but in a "riot" things like that happen routinely. The cops are gassing the protesters and a learning curve is taking place. Things always escalate and never get LESS violent. Anyone who thinks there is a peaceful way to fill the streets with pissed off "protesters" and armed LEO's is kidding themselves. One tick of a clock is all that separates peace and bloodshed. Add to that a hot summer day and the stage is set for "burn, baby burn." Cool weather is the only thing keeping the violence under control............for now.

I hope that I'm wrong but I lived through that crap in the 60's. At Kent State, it took one round to be fired and bodies ended up laying everywhere. We have 20 million people out of work and a tanked economy. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and our Government seems not to give a rats ass.

Standby. Round two is coming and I advise anyone with a lick of sense to stay the Hell away from these protests.

It's ironic that this post is number 1776 for me as I see the stage set for another "revolution." I do not advocate nor condone it but I see it heading that way and it seems inevitable.

YOu may be right. There may be another "revolution" coming, but that doesn't always mean through violence. People can use the ballot box to revolt against what they see as oppression...which is what I think we will see happen.

So who do you think this means they will vote for - or against? The officer in the picture was an employee of the California University system. Hardly the bastion of oppression. Just who are these imaginary oppressors that are keeping these fun loving protestors from bringing their version of peace and love to their encapments. Obama and the Democrats received much, much more money from "the banks" and "Wall Street" in 2008 than did the Republicans. I don't think any of these protestors even know that. Do you really think these protestors are against Obama? That's a laugher. Again, who are the Oppressors?

My views have nothing to do with OWS.

I dont think this OWS group will have any long term bearing on the outcome of our nation.

People see the federal government as an overgrown, out of control, tax and spend, monstrosity that is burying us.....I think you will see their disdain for that at the ballot box in 2012.

I couldn't care less about OWS or any of their idiotic followers.
