I bought this NAA Mini 22Lr around 11 years ago. It kind of reminds me of a swiss watch. I've carried it in my pocket, on my belt and around my neck. It's served it's purpose well as a 3rd gun backup, a Sunday go to meeting gun and in this belt case, my own small version of a Texas BBQ gun.

I have one in 22 Mag, but have stopped carrying it as a BUG since I got a Ruger LCP to carry instead.

My father has one of those in .22WMR and it's impossible to aim since recoil kicks it back every time no matter how you hold it. I think I'm going to get him the folding "carry" grip since that looks to offer substantially more purchase...

I purchased that mini with the folding grip. I purchased the birds head grips at a later tme. I like the looks of the birds head grips although the folding grip made the mini easier to shoot.

They say Death & Taxes are assured in life. So is my .22 mag mini-revolver in my pocket, even when I'm carrying my .9 or .38.

But, I just had to order a new cylinder pin for it. After years of invading pocket lint, the button was hard to push in so the pin would come out of the frame and release the cylinder. I figured out how to disassemble and clean it and it works great again..... as long as it is installed in the frame. Otherwise, the little ball falls out, so I either put it together wrong or the hole stretched. Anyway, in a few days I will not have to worry about pulling it out and losing my ..... uh...... nevermind.

Edit to add: I was promised the part was to be shipped this week. Seventy three hours later, it is IN my hand. Nice going NAA!

I've carried a 22 LR mini for over 20 years. When I first got it I took it apart to see how it works, it didn't work right when I put it back together. call NAA told them the truth. shipped it to them they fixed it , it was even smoother. no charge except shipping one way. I thought that was great, being it was my stupidity.
When cleaning it awhile back I notice a worn spot on the hammer, where it rests against the safety notch. Looks like dry fired but it never has been. must be just from vibration rubbing over the years. Called them up, same thing just send it to them. Got to love good customer service!
Well after 20+ years of always having it with me (even in swim gear) I felt naked, so I bought the 22 mag. with the 1 5/8 inch barrel. I love it. much more penetration.

randyc74, that's a damn nice holster/ pouch. Did you make that yourself, or is that store bought?

Thanks for the kind words. I built that one myself as a proto-type. I usually build more conventional type holsters, but the NAA minis are very unique little pistols.

Here's one of my regular product NAA mini pocket holsters.

Last week I was eyeballing the PUG at my local gun shop. It's a little bigger then my .22lr mini, buts pretty cool looking. If I sell enough of my mini .22lr pocket holsters, I may invest in one of the PUGS and build holsters for that one too. A man can't have too many guns ya know.

Randy, those are some cool lookin', hide a small gun in your pocket, holsters. Best of luck on your sales. I'd sure buy the PUG version of your full coverage holster if you develop it. Have you tried orthopedic leather?

I'm certain to buy the next PUG I run across.

I'm steering clear of my buddy's gun and pawnshop.... he's always talkin' me into ordering something that goes bang.

Thanks for the compliments on my holsters. All of my holsters as well as other leather holster makers are made from vegatable tanned leather only. Orthopedic leather is chrome tanned. The salts used in the chrome tanning process plays hell with the finish of fine firearms. For that reason, I limit my use of chrome tanned leathers to boots and other projects.

Randy, I am glad to find this out about orthopedic leather.

I have an orthopedic (at my request) IWBM.o.B., made by my lifelong friend Jim Burke/Artist in Leather (R.I.P.). I've carried it a lot when I was less thick around the middle. I did notice some wear on the bluing on the SA1911. I laid it off to my evil sweat and less than stellar bluing process.

Jim always said those Camel non filters would kill him. They did.

I'll never quit using the holster, as Jimmy made it for me as a prototype for his concealment line. He used me for a guinea pig on several mods to his holster line.

Thanx Sir, for the heads up on this. I'll be watching for your PUG model holster. Best wishes for lotsa business!

I have a very small hand and found the little gun (for me) to be very manageable. It was actually more accurate than I expected. I figured I would have to just about have to have the barrel touching the target to hit it!! LOL I have gone back to carrying this little BUG instead of the LCP. My LCP has been disappointing. It is way too picky with the ammo it likes. I will probably sell it. I will stick with carrying my bigger guns and carry the little 22 WMR for backup.

Here is a picture of mine (well not mine, but the same model. I need to take a new one-- its a NA22S-- although .22 Short is sort of puny, the pistol is tee-tiny and fits in any pocket with no issues...

Mainly I wanted this "just because"....8)

If you own one of the 22 Magnums be sure to get on NAA webite and read the ammunition warning. Personally, I get behind cover when someone is shooting one.

There's a warning (from 2004) here about PMC ammo...

    http://www.naaminis.com/sandy050104.html

    But their current literature says...

"Our .22 Magnum can be used with all popular .22 Magnum ammunition, including .22 Magnum shot shells (called Snake Shot by some manufacturers)."

    North American Arms

Hmmmm... I've been thinking about getting one of these, so maybe I'll do a little more research.

What's the trick other than small hands (I have large-ish hands)? The only way I was able to slightly improve on accuracy (as in more than one round on the paper) was to grasp it in such a fashion that the cylinder machined a little bit off of my thumb with each shot...
