    Glock's

A pair of Glock 21's .45 cal, one smooth worn out one carried on a daily basis.

    A Glock 27 .40 cal

And I had a Glock 30 in .45 that was stolen. Hoping to purchase a new one in the immediate future.

Not really my favorite weapons, but they are extremely functional for work.

My favorite is my Colt Combat Commander.

Don't own one and don't plan on it. I hear they get "...smooth worn out...".

But I have thought a cheap gun to toss in the truck so I have something there whenever I just run out quickly.

The average Glock is going to go through far more rounds without maintenance in its lifetime than the average 1911 with intensive maintenance.

I've had stretches of 1000-2000 rounds through my G17 without cleaning or even lubricating and it has yet to complain, malfunction, or even produce any obvious wear different from normal use.

The G17 is not a highly tuneable target pistol with a trigger that "breaks like glass", nor do I expect that it could produce 3" groups at 50 yards. Glocks are service/combat pistols and work well as such.

That's why I like them. I don't prefer the grip angle as I tend to point high with them so it takes me a little extra time to focus on adjusting my aim. However, they are just plain simple, reliable, and durable which I do like. It's always nice to have something around that you know can take a serious beating, isn't temperamental about cleaning, etc.

Don't be so sensitive. :p I was playing off of TXShooters reply, being funny.

I can't tell you how many rounds I put through that particular glock in a one year period. I was shooting a insane amount for over a year and a half and I had that particular weapon for 10 years prior. I really can't even venture a guess how much it took to wear that weapon out. I have only kept it since it is one of the first Glock 21's.

Somehow my new one just doesn't feel the same.

I own one Glock. It just doesn't do anything for me. It's kinda like having and ugly wife. She may clean house and cook and better than any other wife on the block, but noones going to rush out and see if she has a sister.
There's something in the workmanship of a fine pistol like 1911 or Luger that makes your hand glad you are holding it and your eye happy to look at it. It's what makes most of us collect guns . No romance in a Glock.
Definitely not going to knock those that like them. They get the job done.
