Run a anti virus, have you downloaded anything recently? Or installed?

When you run the anti virus, it will show where its located, just simply follow where its located and delete.

    Example: musicfolder/itunesmusic/virusartist/virussong

So just locate the original folder, and whats the name of the b.s. website?

    Hope it helps

What browser are you using? If more than one does the same thing happen in different browsers? You will need an antivirus but depending on the infection it may not allow you to download one. I recommend Avast or AVG. You can download their free versions just by Googling them. I can get you fixed up so if you are still down with the virus when you reas this send me a PM and I'll get you headed down the path to PC health.

Run the said programs in safe mode. Also try Rkill first. It stops known bad processes that are running to help aid the anti programs to work.

Try DNS Crypt. It prevents you being redirected by providing a secure portal to the DNS server. No one can intercept the address and replace it with their own. It works like a charm. I also prevents man in the middle attacks, and snooping ISP's.
    DNSCrypt
    It is free, for now.
I does not remove any existing virus, but there is plenty of other software that does.

I've had this for a few months now. Fricking annoying. Here's what I've done so far:

    -Malwarebytes
    -Spybot Search & Destroy
    -CC Cleaner
    -Rkill
    -TDSSKiller
    -Trojan Remover
    -MBRCheck
    -Process Explorer

As far as I understand, Combofix can work really well when done right. I believe it can also seriously screw up a system with someone that doesn't know how to use it.

Affects me on Firefox, Waterfox, and Chrome. I have Opera and Safari as well, but I never use those and don't want to bother seeing if they're affected.

And I think there were a few other things I've tried to identify and/or eliminate the problem. So far, some problems eliminated, but not this one.

I think I'm going to revert to my classic tried and true method of keeping all vital stuff on a secondary partition, all drivers and important programs backed up to a secondary partition, so in the event it takes longer than a few days to fix, format the C: partition, reinstall windows, and be done with it. The Aliens method, "Pull out and nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." ;) LOL Seriously, at what point is it a waste of time when a fresh OS install plus reinstalling programs and setting back up is maybe 2-3hrs.

Combo Fix is one of those you use and post the results on a trusted techie forum and let them tell you what to do.

Now there was a DNS Changer going around and it not only hit computers, it went after your router.

Combofix runs itself. I would give it a shot.
