Well I shot 700 rounds of 115gr. FMJ ammo through my cougar today.

100 rounds were Monarch steel case.

600 rounds were Winchester White Box

15 rounds of Hornady TAP 147gr JHP

It was shooting low and I thought it was me but two other people that are good shots were also shooting low.

I also shot another forum member's 1911's and I was hitting everything I aimed at.

We only shot 315 rounds and after we were done I decided to run more ammo through it.

I went and bought more ammo and went to some private land and it started getting much better.

I still think the sights might be a little off but I will wait and see.

Oh I also had one FTE That's it I am sending it back to Beretta!!!;)

Honestly though I am so happy with this gun it runs so smooth now that it is nicely broken in.

Sweet. One FTE isn't bad. The best thing I could recommend is to fire the gun from a bench rest if you haven't already as that will help take some of the physical issues out of the equation.

I think that is a sweet gun, I have several high end guns and the cougar feels as good as any in my hand, probably my next addition to the family.

Did you notice any point-of-impact difference between the different bullet weights? Typically speaking, a heavier bullet will impact higher than a lighter bullet. The heavier bullet is traveling slower, so the rise of the muzzle during recoil has more effect on its flight path.
