I have two of their uppers, a 556 and a 9mm, and they both run fine. No complaints. Barrels are made by E.R. Shaw.
I've seen a few people here make references to the low-quality of Model 1 Sales products. Anyone care to share stories, good or bad? Everything I've seen anywhere but this forum had been good. I have one of their uppers but have yet to buy a lower, so I'm pretty curious.
Were those crooked front sights just the actual sight post, or the whole sight tower? A crooked sight tower makes me think the barrel wasn't installed right but I'm no AR expert.
Good replies, guys. Thanks!
Have You ever shot an ar pistol? If not You may want to before you build one.
Heh, I was JUST on there. That's weird. I love spikes quality, but I had words with some upper management for reasons I'll keep to myself and have sworn them off. I should probably get the hell over it. Spikes are great guns.
My fickle eye has now turned to a CMMg .300blk upper (yes in the last 39 min) haha.
That makes two I've seen and two I've heard of. Yikes.A guy at our local 3 Gun match brought a new Model 1 Sales rifle to a match a while back. First stage the bolt snapped in half where to cam pin hole is. Within 2 weeks he had a new bolt at no cost to him from Model 1 Sales. He had his rifle ready for the next months match where it promptly sheared the new bolt in half at the same spot. He bought a different rifle after that. That's my only experience with Model 1 Sales so they're not on the list of guns I'd recommend.
